Fluoride? There has always been debate over municipal water fluoridation and The Tennessean printed an article today about bottled water than seems to have gotten some discussion on the subject. Fluoride is added to water supplies in the US and some believe that should end. How do you feel on the subject?

It has been a month nearly since I have been able to get a chance to write here. I have moved (I never realized how much stuff you can accumulate in 6 years!) and working on the new place keeps me busy. I am sure I have missed a few things in that month as far as news regarding the veggie community, so if needed, bring me up-to-date. I did mention The Veggie Cafe which operates in East Nashville last month and I have not been able to try it yet. If anyone has been there let me know how it is. I know they have a limited menu at the moment which will change once they get a permanent location but any place with veggie offerings in this area is more than welcome.
I’ll try to keep up from now on…

I have spent a couple years listening to podcasts and found a few to be worthwhile and entertaining but most to be not worth the time to download. I have not found any vegan/vegetarian podcasts yet that can hold my interest for more than 2 seconds. Know of any I should try? As long as it is not just two people patting each other on the back for an hour or so, reasonably audible and not by someone sounding like they have a mouth full of slobber (I just described four or five vegan/vegetarian podcasts that are those not worth the time, you know which ones they are.) let me know about it.
Sorry for the space between posts. We are in the process of moving and this gives me little time to post the way I would like. I haven’t even finished packing! I’ll get in here when I can, things will be back to normal soon. Until then…
I was greeted by a story this morning concerning the possible blocking by the FTC of the buyout of Wild Oats by Whole Foods. The FTC, of course, is thinking this may be a monopolistic situation.
The buyout is something I would like to see. I think it would be best for both companies as well as the consumer.
A couple stories on the possible block:
